We adore Thee, O Christ!

I thought that perhaps some of our readers might like to hear this recording of our singing here at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary.  This rendition of Adoramus Te Christe, by G. P. da Palestrina, was sung during Mass this Palm Sunday, 24th March.

Adoramus te, Christe,
et benedicimus tibi,
quia per sanctam crucem tuam
redemisti mundum.

We adore Thee, O Christ,
And we bless Thee,
Who by Thy Holy Cross
hath redeemed the world.

Three Lives Saved

Today at the abortion clinic here in Lincoln, Nebraska, we had the great joy of saving three lives!  That’s right, three women, after seeing people praying outside the abortuary, decided not to kill their child, but to let it live!  This is the result not only of prayer, but also of having a visible presence outside the abortion clinic.  All these women and children need our prayers and certainly the graces they received were obtained by prayers in one form or another, but if our counsellors had not been there to talk to the ladies and offer them support, if Our Lady’s Army had not been there praying and giving visible encouragement, who knows but that those three precious lives might by now have been snuffed-out.

If you are in the Lincoln area and can make it to the Lincoln abortuary on a Tuesday, please do come out and join us in praying for an end to abortion and for the women and children who are harmed by abortion.  Who knows how many babies God will save from death if only there are enough people out there praying for it.  Our Lady said at Fatima “Many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray for them.”  Clearly we are not talking about hell for these innocent little babies, but could it not also be said: many babies are slaughtered each day by abortion BECAUSE THERE IS NO ONE TO PRAY FOR THEM?  If you are not in the Lincoln area or cannot make it but know people who could please share this with your friends so that we can get an many people out there praying for mothers and their children as possible.

40th Anniversary of State-Sponsored Murder

Today marks the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the culturally, socially and economically catastrophic United States Supreme Court decision that until the child in the womb is capable of surviving alone outside of the womb (i.e. it is “viable”) it is not a person, thus stripping the helpless innocent child of its human rights, including its right to life, and its right to State protection, and allowing its own mother the right to have it barbarically slaughtered.

In the 40 years since Roe v Wade, somewhere in the region of 53 million children have been put to death in America alone – this is only 10 million short of the entire population of the United Kingdom.  Who will ever know the talent that has been wasted over these 40 years?  Perhaps the doctor who would discover a cure for cancer is among those  53 million, or the scientist who would make breakthrough discoveries in the reduction of pollution?  Which great artist will never see the light of day, or which writer or politician will now never inspire the world?

The damage we have done is incalculable.  Is God pleased with our stewardship?

On Saturday 19th January I attended the March for Life in Lincoln, Nebraska, joining between three and five thousand other supporters of life to march in protest of all violations of human life.  Here are some photos:

Everyone gathered outside the State Capitol building, where speakers included the Nebraska State Governor  the Lieutenant Governor and two Congressmen.

The pro-death people were also present, but they didn't make any trouble.

Seminarians from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary.

 All generations were represented.

Marching from the Capitol building to the university.

The pro-death protesters followed us to the university, but on arriving, they found nine pro-life students waiting to stand in front of them!  God bless these young pro-life men!

In addition, here are some photos from the Lincoln abortion clinic taken today, as we prayed outside for the poor women and children who the victims of abortion, and for the end of this genocide.

Don't forget the Dead!

Br. Martin Mary, F.SS.R. offering prayers for the poor souls in Purgatory at the small cemetery in Denton, just a mile from the FSSP Seminary where he is studying. Prayers are offered there by the seminarians ever day of the month of November, which is dedicated to the holy souls.

Don't forget what we said in the last post about writing out the names of your dead and emailing them to us so that we can place them upon the altar and remember their souls during the Holy Sacrifice.  Make a list of those departed members of your family, or a list of your friends who have died, and even including your enemies, since Our Lord has told us to pray for them as well, and email it to us at:chapel@the-sons.org

Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends, because the hand of the Lord hath touched me.” (Job 19:21)

Auschwitz begins wherever someone looks at a slaughterhouse and thinks: they’re only animals. - Theodor W. Adorno

"What an irony that a society confronted with plastic bags filled with the remains of aborted babies should be more concerned about the problem of recycling the plastic." - Winifred Egan

Br. Martin Mary, F.SS.R. with some of the seminarians from Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary, praying outside the Planned Parenthood abortion Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska. Abortions take place here every Tuesday, and the seminarians are also here every Tuesday during term-time. Since Planned Parenthood moved into these new premises they can now kill as many as 60 babies on a Tuesday, and they also now hire a number of security guards (thugs) to intimidate us, and also, no doubt, to keep the women in! Praying outside the Abortion Mill is not unlike praying outside Auschwitz.

After the 15 decades of the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, all the seminarians sing the Salve Regina.  Making the Sign of the Cross, we pray that our prayers will be of use to all the poor women who are daily abused by Planned Parenthood, whether here or in any other place on earth where abortions are performed.

Rain at Last!

As many of you will know, this summer has been really harsh in the United States, with drought conditions over much of the country.  This site can help to give you some idea of the situation: http://www.lawrencevilleweather.com/drought.html

Having just arrived back at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton Nebraska for the start of a new year, I have been able to see first-hand just how dry it has been, and it has been very dry!  But today, Our Good Lord sent us a little present!

A Very Foreign Feast

Today, 4th July, our American confreres celebrate their independence from the United Kingdom.  Although we would not naturally be inclined to mark the day, they made sure it was well remembered!

Br. Seelos baked a cake.

On this foggy day, our three Americans try to find the closest place to home...

 ...under the flag!

God bless America.
